Big River: Costello, Kristofferson, Cash, Mellencamp, Jones
Well I taught that weeping willow how to cry cry cry and I showed the clouds how to cover up a clear blue sky
Tears I cried for that woman are gonna flood you big river and I'm gonna sit right here until I die
Tears I cried for that woman are gonna flood you big river and I'm gonna sit right here until I die

Last night's show.
If I wrote you you would know me and you would not write me again.
If I wrote you you would know me and you would not write me again.

Long Black Veil - Bruce Springsteen & the Seeger Sessions ..
I went to see Levon Helm's Midnight Ramble last night in Woodstock, NY. Two hundred people litstening the best music on earth in a magical setting. Though the entire evening was amazing, the high point for me was The Long Black Veil, one of my absolute favorite songs. Here's a clip of it by the SSB.

Railroad Earth playing Grateful Dead's Casey Jones
RRE was at HG last night. Someone asked me what kind of music it was. I didn't know. This is from their website: “We use unique acoustic instrumentation, but we’re definitely not a bluegrass band – so that doesn’t fit. And I think the term ‘jam bands’ probably refers more to the fans than to the bands. I think these fans just like live music.”
